Our Development Officer - Izmael Cunningham

Izmael Cunningham - MK Dons Development Coach has joined Bedford Panthers FC as Development Officer for the 2008/9 season.

In early 2007 I achieved my FA Level II coaching badge in football, whilst training various teams for MK Wanderers. Currently I am working towards my "A" License which I hope to be recommended by the FA for the course in the next 3 years.

I became head football coach for MK Wanderers under 9’s and under 10’s during 2007, the under 10’s team became league champions under my wings. Two players from this team have recently been offered contracts to progress their talent with MK Dons Football Academy.

I joined MK Dons Education and Sport’s trust delivering after school coaching sessions in the summer of 2007.

In early 2008 I was offered a coaching position to work at MK Don’s Development Centres. Since then opportunities for me to deliver coaching sessions have grown from strength to strength. I'm now in a position to recommend players to MK Don’s Elite Development and Academy.

I regularly deliver presentations to the MK Don’s Academy on motivation and confidence building to become an effective team.

Now my sights are set on to create a Development programme and Centre for the Future to improve and progress players abilities either physically or mentally in the world of football.

In February 2009 I will be running a Football Skills Centre for both boys & girls from U7s to U14s, this will be open for everyone to join.
